Atlantic County Canines (ACC), a 501(c)(3), non-profit animal rescue
About Atlantic County Canines
Atlantic County Canines is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization located in southern New Jersey. We specialize in caring for seniors and special needs animals, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment. Atlantic County Canines Animal Rescue is dedicated to providing a lifeline of love and compassion for elderly animals who are considered nearly or fully 'unadoptable' due to age and/or medical condition. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide a safe haven for these deserving animals. And to ensure they live out their golden years with dignity and comfort. Through our specialized care programs, we strive to enhance the quality of life of animals by addressing the unique physical, emotional, and medical needs of elderly animals and pairing them with fosters who would benefit from the new friendship. Our headquarters the Old Geezer Farm is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals, ensuring they receive the love and attention they deserve before they go into a foster home.
Our Approach
We are committed to raising awareness about the joys and rewards of adopting senior cats and/or dogs and promoting a society that values and respects the wisdom and unconditional love that these remarkable animals offer. Together with our dedicated volunteers and community partnerships, we are determined to make a lasting difference in the lives of these underestimated companions. At Atlantic County Canines we believe in a personalized approach to animal rescue. We prioritize the well-being of each animal, tailoring our care to their individual needs. Whether it's medical attention, behavioral support, or simply a warm place to rest, we are committed to providing the best possible care for every animal.
Our Story
Atlantic County Canines was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to offer hope and happiness to animals in their golden years. Our journey began with a deep love for dogs and cats and to create a rescue where they could thrive.
For over 20 years, ACC has worked to preserve the dignity of the elderly and/or injured cat and dog population by rescuing as many as possible from shelters through rehabilitation, rehoming, and rendering medical care to make the animals adoptable.
Led by a passionate team of faithful volunteers, Atlantic County Canines plans to help more animals in need. We see the dire need for help and have a soft spot for the marginalized populations of cats and dogs. Atlantic County Canines has successfully rescued animals since 2003.
